Raising Resilient Kids

A One-Day Workshop in Exeter, Devon

with Dr Rani Bora & Ian Watson

Saturday June 10th 2017, 09.30 - 16.30

For the attention of parents, teachers or anyone with an interest in children's well-being.

What Kids are Up Against

There is growing concern regarding the mental and emotional health of youngsters in today's society. It is now being increasingly recognized that children are 'growing up too quickly' in some respects.

Many kids are struggling to keep up with the demands of schoolwork, after-school activities and peer groups to name a few. While some children may thrive amidst a busy schedule, others may feel overwhelmed or disheartened. They can struggle with feelings of low confidence, anxiety, loneliness or even depression.

Increasing numbers of youngsters are struggling with stressful thoughts and feelings. Many end up developing unhealthy coping strategies and eventually with more serious habits such as developing eating disorder, self-harming or using recreational substances.

All of these are simply attempts to find relief from feelings of distress and to regain a sense of inner balance and well-being.

Can We Help Children Feel Better About Themselves and Access Their Innate Resilience?

Despite the challenges inherent in modern life, the good news is that children today are naturally just as resilient as they have always been.

When you understand the fundamental principles that underlie our psychological functioning, you will be able to reinforce and draw out the wisdom and well-being available to all children.

As children begin to feel more empowered, capable and resilient on the inside, their thoughts and feelings about themselves and others naturally become more positive.

As a result, self-destructive and reactive behaviour patterns become less compelling. They discover they have resources available to them that they may have overlooked previously.

When the adults around children gain a deeper understanding of the connection between thought, feeling and behaviour, youngsters seem to catch on to it quickly and easily.

You will see them begin to:

  • Listen to their own wisdom and act accordingly
  • Take responsibility for their own actions
  • Bounce back from adversity
  • Be less worried about what others think of them
  • Be kinder to themselves and others
  • Have better understanding about what is and isn't healthy for them
  • Get over upsets and low moods quickly

As parents ourselves, we are eager to share this simple understanding with you. We have seen it be so helpful with our own children as well as many others that we have been privileged to work with.

We hope you will join us at this special one-day event dedicated to the well-being of all our children.

The State We're In

In the UK, at least one in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem in any given year. The Office for National Statistics estimates that one in ten children (age 5 - 16) has a clinically diagnosed mental health disorder such as anxiety, depression or some kind of behavioural issue. One out of every twelve to fifteen children are thought to deliberately self-harm.

In 2014, over 57 million prescriptions were issued for antidepressants in England alone - a 500% increase since 1992. Around 1.2 million prescriptions were issued for children to treat 'hyperactivity disorders'. Psychiatric drugs are now routinely prescribed to treat an ever-widening range of problems including weight control, sleep disorders, low confidence and mood swings.

The provision of mental health services currently costs around £7 billion annually in the UK, and the wider economic costs are estimated to be at least £70 billion annually.

Against this backdrop of ever-increasing numbers of people suffering despite the widening range of treatments available, it is becoming apparent that something fundamental to our understanding of mental and emotional health has been largely overlooked.

Ian’s personal life journey of seeking practical solutions and spiritual insight to the human condition makes him a perfect facilitator of the Three Principles understanding.
— Robert Barker

A New Paradigm for Understanding Mental & Emotional Health & Resilience

In 1973, a man named Sydney Banks uncovered the 'missing link' in our understanding of how our psychological and emotional experience of life gets created. Through his own direct insight, Sydney Banks was freed from chronic insecurity and was able to articulate the principles that underpin mental and emotional health in a way that others could grasp and thereby free themselves from their own suffering and life struggles.

The radical new understanding that Sydney Banks stumbled upon began to spread via word of mouth under various names, including Health Realisation, Psychology of Mind, Innate Health and the Inside-Out Paradigm. Today, it is most commonly referred to as the Three Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness, and it continues to transform people's lives throughout the world.

In contrast to the complexity and contradictory nature of so many existing psychological theories, the Three Principles provide a simple, consistent foundation that explains what psychological and emotional well-being and resilience really is. It reveals the simple fact that everyone has access to well-being and wisdom at all times, and we cannot lose our innate mental health, although we may well lose sight of it.

On 12th November 2016, I attended a Three Principles workshop with Ian Watson, and my life changed forever!

I’d go as far as to say, he saved my life. Not from suicide, but from the tyranny of my own thinking. My life used to be a disappointment of what it wasn’t. Now it’s a celebration of what it is.
— Frank Foley

What This New Paradigm Means

Some of the key implications that arise from an understanding of these principles include:

  • Everyone has innate well-being and resilience on the inside, no exceptions
  • Peace of mind and well-being is the natural state of all human beings
  • The past has no power to create ongoing psychological suffering
  • True, lasting psychological and emotional healing occurs via insight and a shift in consciousness, not from techniques, practices or prescriptions
  • Changes in body chemistry are a reflection of a person's state of mind, not the cause of it
  • Life events and circumstances cannot create stressful feelings in and of themselves
  • Other people have no power to create your feelings - only you can do that!
  • Destructive behaviours and habits arise in response to internal distress, and fall away naturally by themselves when inner peace is restored

After a lifetime working in the field of well-being and personal transformation, the Three Principles understanding transformed and simplified my work, and has formed the basis of all my workshops, trainings and individual consulting work since 2011. I was fortunate to train with two of the pioneers in this field, Dr Mark Howard and Cathy Casey, and was inspired by the simplicity, consistency and sustainability of a principles-based approach.

“I can honestly say that the workshop was probably the most profound I’ve ever attended.”

— Claire Stilling, London

Whether you would like to learn the principles of innate mental health for your own benefit or to help others, this workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction.

Who do you think you are and why does it matter?

Evening Talk in Central London hosted by Susan Marmot with guest speaker Ian Watson

22nd March 2017          7.30pm – 9.00pm

Ian_scarf_portrait.jpg

From an early age we begin to formulate ideas about ourselves which, over time, creates our personality or self-image, and it appears to be permanent, real and true. Everybody does it whether they mean to or not. What we often overlook is the way that we limit ourselves based on these ideas and the way we begin to believe these ideas are true. So even though our thoughts about ourselves can and do change, there are many we hold on to and abide by in a way that creates a limitation for ourselves. Are there things you think you cannot do well for some inbuilt reason?

In this talk we will be exploring what lies beyond our ideas about who we are, our thought-created personality. All the ideas and assumptions aside, what can we discover about our potentialthat we would otherwise overlook? What is the difference between what is possible for us and what we think is possible? We see the significance of this in schools for students that think they cannot begood in a certain subject. In what ways are we doing that in our adult lives?

Less Stress - More Ease

Weds 15th March

With Ian Watson

Everyone is looking for a way to reduce the stress in their lives and experience a greater sense of ease, contentment and joy.

Unfortunately there is a widespread misunderstanding about where our feelings actually come from, and what we need to do (or stop doing) in order to feel differently.

The result of this misunderstanding is that we have learned to attribute our feelings to outside circumstances, people and past events, and we expend a lot of energy trying to change those external factors in order that we can enjoy an easier life experience.

Common examples would be:

  • If I had more money, I would feel more secure
  • If my work environment was better, I would feel less stressed
  • If my partner/boss/relatives behaved differently, I would be happier
  • If my past hadn't been so difficult, I would have an easier time in the present
  • If my children were grown up, I wouldn't have to worry all the time

I would like to share with you a simple understanding that shows you where all of your feelings actually come from. Once you start to see this for yourself, your life will never be the same again. You will re-discover the natural ease that comes with knowing that your innate well-being and peace of mind exists independently of outside circumstances, and that there is nothing in the past or the future that can make you feel bad.

Schedule: The talk starts at 7.30pm and will finish around 9pm

A Return to Simplicity

IMG_2173 - Version 2 copy.jpg

As the outer world becomes more fragmented and chaotic, it can begin to seem as if we have too many problems and not enough time. Yet in truth, we are only ever up against our own thought-created reality, both individually and collectively.

An understanding of the principles behind your psychological, emotional and spiritual experience of life puts you back in alignment with your intrinsic nature, and it does so gently and quickly, without any need to work on any issues or practice any techniques.

Once you realize how your experience of life is being created on the inside, you will find that you have choices available to you that you didn't know you had. Conflicts and complications will begin to dissolve, and you will discover how you can feel differently about yourself and your life, without anything outside of you needing to change.

A retreat is an opportunity to take a time-out, to relax your body and de-clutter your mind. This is much needed in our busy modern lives, but the effects are often short-lived and can 'wear off' rather quickly when we return to daily life. This is where an understanding of the Three Principles behind your experience comes in.

Unlike most other approaches that depend on will-power, remembering information or practicing techniques, the principles guide you back to the very source of your own experience and re-connect you to the well-being, peace of mind, clarity and creative power that you already possess. Once you gain some insight into your own true capacity, it's yours to keep, and it will set you in a new direction that is filled with hope and possibility.

Learning the principles is a joyous experience that doesn't require you to work on your problems or to go back into your past looking for answers. Instead, it sheds light on how all problems get created in the first place, and sets you free to find creative solutions, make new choices, and enjoy fulfilling your own true potential.

Limited places are available, please book early to be sure of a place.

Date: 20-22 January 2017

Schedule
Arrival will be 5pm - 6pm on Friday 20th January. Departure will be around 4pm on Sunday 22nd January. The retreat will be held in English, with Czech translation for non-English speakers.

Dartington Hall, Devon

In the midst of January when the days are short, and the weather is cold we can often be caught thinking wistfully about the promise of Spring and all that it brings so that we can get on and create. We easily forget the creative potential of Winter - the season where activity gives way to dormancy - life becomes still and creates space for looking inwards.

Winter invites us to quiet the mind, still the soul and prepare ourselves for the light and creativity to come. It is a time of creative incubation, when we can allow ourselves to reconnect to what is real and true on the inside.

We invite you to join us for a day of cosy contemplation in the beautiful surroundings of Dartington Hall, where we will look together at our innate capacity to create as human beings - whatever the season - and yes - share a bowl of homemade soup!

The news is filled with stories of violence, financial meltdown, acts of terror, political chaos and personal strife. It would be easy to conclude that living in a state of uncertainty, fear and anxiety is a necessary and logical consequence of the craziness going on in the world.

Yet in truth, we have the freedom and the capacity to enjoy peace of mind and inner security, no matter what. Coming Home to Yourself

A Four-Day Retreat in El Gouna with Ian Watson, in collaboration with Insight Counselling & Integrative Health

Inside of you, and at the core of every human being, there is peace of mind, wisdom, clarity, contentment and creativity.

Behind all your anxieties and insecurities, there lies a natural confidence, healthy self-esteem and a deep sense of meaning and purpose in life.

You have the innate capacity to love and be loved, to feel safe and secure and to recognize truth when you hear it.

You know what is right for you and what is not.

All of these gifts and more are yours already. You don’t have to earn them, or work on yourself to develop them.

If all of this is true - and it is - you might wonder why your daily experience can seem very different .....

  • Why does our confidence and contentment seem to come and go?
  • How do we end up feeling unloved, insecure and seem to lose our direction in life?
  • Where is that elusive creativity when we seem to need it the most?
  • How are we supposed to know what to do in the midst of confusion and conflict?
  • Why does life feel like such a struggle at times?

The answer is very simple, although not always obvious.

It has to do with the way our minds work, and the relationship between thought and feeling. You see, we can think anything, and whatever we think, we feel. Innocently, we have all learned to think about ourselves and others in ways that are not true. But they feel true, because thought always feels true, even when it isn’t.

The result is not that we lose any of our innate gifts, because that would be impossible - we simply lose sight of them. Erroneous thought patterns obscure our true nature without in any way diminishing it, just as clouds obscure the sun and yet have no real or lasting impact upon the solar power itself.

Here's the good news: you have everything you need already to live a happy and fulfilling life. Yes, you'll have your ups and downs - that's part of being human. But there's a place within you that is untouched by all of that, a place that you can always come back to and find peace of mind, no matter how bad things might seem on the outside. You're not lacking anything. Nothing needs to be fixed. Your true nature has only to be recognized and realized, and all the rest is taken care of.

El Gouna Retreat Group December 2015

El Gouna Retreat Group December 2015

Following the success of our previous three retreats in El Gouna with Ian, we are delighted to offer a further opportunity to immerse yourself in the life-changing understanding known as the Three Principles.

In a relaxed, small-group setting, Ian will share with you the ‘missing link’ that has transformed his own life and work, just as it has transformed the lives of countless people throughout the world.

Deceptively simple, these principles transcend traditional self-help and psychological methods, and enable you to realize the truth of the statement: What you seek lies within you. Whether you would like to find peace of mind, harmony in your relationships or a greater sense of ease and fulfillment in life, the key to happiness and inner peace is surprisingly simple, once you know where to look.

A retreat is an opportunity to take a time-out, to relax your body and de-clutter your mind. This is much needed in our busy modern lives, but if your inner consciousness has not been transformed, the effects will be short-lived and will seem to ‘wear off’ very quickly when you return to everyday life. This is where an understanding of the Three Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness comes in.

Unlike most other approaches that depend on will-power, remembering information or practicing techniques, these principles guide you back to the very source of your own experience and re-connect you to the well-being, peace of mind, clarity and creative power that you already possess.

The learning happens effortlessly via inner realization, and what you gain via your own insight is yours to keep. It will set you in a new direction that is filled with hope and possibility, and the benefits will continue to accrue over time in a sustainable way.

Learning the Principles is a hugely enjoyable experience that doesn’t require you to work on your problems or to go back into your past looking for answers. Principles-based Coaching

A one-day event in Devon with Ian Watson in collaboration with Coaching Connect

Ian Watson and Coaching Connect are collaborating to provide a refresher day for coaches using a principles-based approach. This will be a perfect opportunity for coaches (who are already using the 3Ps in their work) to discuss case-studies and to further learn how to share a principles-based approach with clients.

Many coaches find they go through a transition period with the 3Ps. In the past they often have had training in a variety of tools and techniques. When they discover the 3Ps they want to share their new understanding in an authentic way, however they are sometimes not quite ready to ditch all their old ways of working.

During this day we will be exploring questions like:

  • What are the common stumbling blocks when sharing a 3P approach?
  • What if my client doesn't 'get it'?
  • What if I'm feeling a bit 'wobbly' - can I still coach?
  • How can I maximise my impact as a 3P-coach?

You don't need to be a coach to enjoy this day. If you are sharing the principles with friends and family (or as part of your work) then you will find this is a useful development of your understanding and learning.

Less Stress - More Happiness

With Ian Watson

ian.jpg

Everyone is looking for a way to reduce the stress in their lives and experience a greater sense of ease, contentment and joy. The problem is, there is a widespread misunderstanding about what causes us to feel the way we do, a misunderstanding that is shared even by the so-called experts.

The result of this misunderstanding is that we have learned to attribute our feelings to outside circumstances, people and past events, and we expend a lot of energy trying to change those external factors in order that we can feel better.

You will re-discover the natural ease that comes with knowing that your well-being exists independently of outside circumstances, and that there is nothing in the past or the future that can make you feel bad.

As this understanding becomes realized, you will learn to navigate through life with greater ease, less stress and a happier, healthier outlook - without needing to work on yourself or remembering to practice any techniques.

The Principles of Mental & Emotional Health - Parts 1 & 2 with Ian Watson

The State We're In

In the UK, one in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem in any given year.

Some Commonly-Held Assumptions

It is important to keep in mind that every kind of psychological treatment, intervention or self-help technique is based upon a set of assumptions about what the problem is and what are the likely causes. Some of the prevalent assumptions that are widely held to be true would include:

  • Mental & emotional problems are caused by disturbances in brain and body-chemistry
  • External 'stress-factors' produce long-lasting changes in how people feel
  • Early childhood trauma creates lifelong psychological suffering
  • Some people are predisposed towards mental illness due to personality traits or inherited genetic tendencies
  • Modern life is inherently stressful, and the best we can hope for is an effective 'coping strategy' to help us along
  • Some people are more resilient than others

Given the variety of supposed causative and contributory factors, it is unsurprising that there are literally hundreds of different treatment approaches, even for the same kinds of suffering. The fact that the different 'schools' of psychology, psychiatry and self-help tend to contradict each other is a reflection of the lack of basic, fundamental principles upon which a coherent model for practice could be built.

As human consciousness evolves, new discoveries emerge periodically that show previously-held assumptions to be partially or wholly untrue. Despite initial resistance from the establishment of the day, eventually the newly-uncovered truth becomes widely accepted because it enables new and more effective solutions to be found for what seemed like intractable problems. What was thought to be impossible according to existing theories suddenly becomes possible in the light of a new understanding.

In his seminal work The Principles of Psychology, first published in 1890, William James drew attention to the fact that the field of psychology did not yet have any true principles to rest upon, likening it to the fields of chemistry and physics in medieval times. He postulated that one day, when such psychological principles had been discovered and realized on a large scale, it would be the most important advancement in human consciousness since the discovery of fire.

A New Paradigm for Mental Health

In 1973, a man named Sydney Banks uncovered the 'missing link' in our understanding of how psychological suffering gets created, and how it can be healed. Through his own direct insight, Sydney Banks was freed from chronic insecurity and was able to articulate the principles that underpin mental and emotional health in a way that others could grasp and thereby free themselves from their own suffering.

The radical new understanding that Sydney Banks stumbled upon began to spread via word of mouth under various names, including Health Realisation, Psychology of Mind, Innate Health and the Inside-Out understanding. Today, it is most commonly referred to as the Three Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness, and it continues to transform people's lives throughout the world.

In contrast to the complexity and contradictory nature of so many existing psychological theories, the Three Principles provide a simple, consistent foundation that explains what psychological and emotional well-being really is, how it can seem to get lost or damaged, and how it can be regained at any stage in a person's life.

What This New Paradigm Means

Some of the key implications that arise from an understanding of these principles include:

  • Everyone has psychological well-being on the inside, no exceptions
  • Peace of mind and well-being is the natural state of all human beings
  • The past has no power to create ongoing psychological suffering
  • True, lasting psychological and emotional healing occurs via insight and a shift in consciousness, not from techniques, practices or prescriptions
  • Changes in body chemistry are a reflection of a person's state of consciousness, not the cause of it
  • Life events and circumstances cannot create stressful feelings in and of themselves
  • Destructive behaviours and habits arise in response to internal distress, and fall away naturally by themselves when inner peace is restored

After a lifetime working in the field of well-being and personal transformation, the Three Principles understanding has formed the basis of all my work since 2011. I was fortunate to train with two of the pioneers in this field, Dr Mark Howard and Cathy Casey, and was inspired by the simplicity, consistency and sustainability of a principles-based approach.

To date, many thousands of people have regained their mental and emotional health through insightfully realizing the truth of these simple principles. As yet, however, they have not been realized on a large scale such that the transformation that William James predicted would come true.

About the Workshop

This two-part workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the Three Principles in relation to mental and emotional health. It will be invaluable for anyone who is ready to explore the potential for well-being that exists beyond the limitations of the 'current thinking' on this topic, and will be suitable for professionals and non-professionals alike.

The first day will focus on the simple foundation that the principles provide, which corrects all of the popular misunderstandings about psychological and emotional health and reveals the true potential for healing that is available to everyone. Part One is particularly recommended for those who are new to this understanding.

I can honestly say that the weekend was probably the most profound I’ve ever attended.
— Claire Stilling, London

On the second day we will explore how an understanding of the principles can be so powerful and helpful in some of the commonest areas of psychological suffering such as anxiety, depression, trauma and self-confidence. If you are new to the Three Principles, it is strongly recommend that you attend Part One first in order to gain the most value from Part Two.

Helping from a Healthy Place Within

A workshop with Ian Watson & Alex Waters

ian_alex.jpg

The challenge for those of us working in a helping profession or in any kind of caring role is to find a way to be of service to others without detriment to our own well-being. The 'health of the helper' is now being widely recognized as a crucial factor, not only for health professionals but for anyone looking to care for another human being from a place of compassion, well-being and inner strength.

Some of the common struggles that helpers experience include:

  • Over-responsibility and empathetic suffering
  • Worry and anxiety about outcomes
  • Finding time for yourself in a busy schedule
  • Dependency relationships
  • Burnout and 'compassion fatigue'
  • The burden of 'being the expert'

The Three Principles understanding is unique in that it is not another technique that must be learned or concept that you need to believe in. Rather, it is an uncovering of the pre-existing wisdom and psychological well-being that lies within every human being. First, we uncover it within ourselves, and then we are able to help others do the same for themselves.

This approach has already transformed the lives of many thousands of people worldwide, and increasing numbers of health professionals are discovering the massive benefits it can bring to their own life and the lives of their clients. These benefits include:

  • Increased resilience and peace of mind in the midst of difficult circumstances
  • Lasting, sustainable reduction in levels of stress, worry and anxiety
  • Rediscovery of the joy in both professional and home life
  • Truly empowers others to help themselves in a lasting way
  • Relationships become easier and healthier

Schedule: The workshop will run from 10am - 5pm on Saturday 15th August.

Insight - The Key to Healing

A Talk to be given by Ian Watson

Around the year 1790, Samuel Hahnemann had a profound insight that was to change the course of his life and give rise to the creation of a new science of healing based on the principle of similars. A subsequent insight into the way that poisons could be rendered harmless whilst their medicinal properties were simultaneously enhanced was to solve the biggest problem in pharmacology in one fell swoop.

Insights such as these, when an individual sees beyond the limitations of currently-held views, have the potential to propel the entire race of humanity to another level of evolution, and they occur somewhat infrequently.

Yet the experience of insight is common to every human being, and is in fact the change-agent that enables each of us to grow and develop, to shake off the psychological ties that bind us and to help us to rediscover the well-being that we were born with.

In 1973, an ordinary working man named Sydney Banks had an extra-ordinary insight into the nature of human consciousness. What he realized has far-reaching implications for everyone involved in the healing arts, and the truth that he uncovered presents as big a challenge to the world of psychology as Hahnemann's discoveries presented to the world of medicine.

Ian Watson will be presenting this talk at the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths annual conference to be held in London on Saturday May 16th. He will be sharing how an understanding of the 'three principles' of Sydney Banks has transformed his own life and work during the past four years.

Discovering a Deeper Wisdom Within

In 1973 an ordinary working man had an extraordinary spontaneous insight that changed his life forever. What Sydney Banks realized would, he said, one day transform the fields of psychology and psychiatry, bringing hope and the possibility of real, inner transformation to the whole of humanity.

Four decades later, the simple truth that Sydney Banks uncovered has begun to reach a wider audience and has already impacted the lives of thousands of people worldwide. Known as the Three Principles, we now have access to a simple understanding of the human mind that transcends the entire self-help and psychological fields. As such, it represents a new paradigm for mental and emotional well-being within which the results witnessed are beyond what is considered normal or even possible using traditional methods.

After a lifetime working in the healing and psychological field, these principles provided the missing link in my own understanding of how human suffering gets created, and how it can be effectively prevented and alleviated without creating dependency on techniques, practices or practitioners.

The Three Principles understanding reconnects people directly to their innate wisdom and well-being, by-passing the need to access past memories, analyze experiences or 'work on' perceived issues and problems. It is, quite simply, the most gentle, effective and sustainable approach for restoring and maintaining mental and emotional health that I have ever come across.

Whether you would like to bring this transformational understanding into your work with others or simply experience the beneficial impact in your own life, this workshop will provide you with a firm foundation.

Everything is Unfolding Perfectly

With Ian Watson & Paula Lattimer

How would it feel if nothing was wrong in your life? If nothing needed to change or get fixed in order for you to relax and be at peace?

It can be hard to imagine that such a possibility exists, because we are so used to associating how we feel on the inside with what our life looks like on the outside. We have been conditioned to believe that certain circumstances are inherently stressful – despite the fact that we all know people who seem to do well in exactly the same circumstances.

We have also been told that we need things like money, jobs or houses in order to feel secure. How is it then that many people have all these things and more, yet they still feel insecure most of the time?

We are living in a collective misunderstanding about where our feelings really come from, and the result is that we can never be truly satisfied and enjoy life to the full because we have this constant sense that something is missing, lacking or ‘not quite right’.

The Three Principles is a simple understanding about how your mind really works, and it guides you back to the very source of your own experience and re-connects you to the well-being, peace of mind, clarity and creative power that you already possess.

Once you see for yourself that you can be okay on the inside no matter what, then you are free to get creative and have the kind of life experience you have always dreamed of.

Join Ian Watson and Paula Lattimer for this introductory talk and we will show you how a simple shift in your understanding of life changes absolutely everything.

Winter Blues – Myth or Reality?

Introducing you to an understanding that will help you embrace the new year with ease no matter what your circumstances.

With Ian Watson & George Halfin

At this time of year when it’s cold and the nights are closing in we can feel down and it can seem to us that this is due to external factors, such as:

  • We don’t have enough money
  • We’re unhappy at work
  • The weather is cold, dark and miserable
  • Certain people in our lives are getting on our nerves

Is it really true that external circumstances and people can make us feel a certain way?

In this introductory talk we will show you how with a simple understanding of The Three Principles you can see beyond your circumstances to a place of wisdom that guides us all if we allow it. This leads naturally to a life with more ease and less angst, and the freedom to enjoy life no matter what the season.
